Dermapen Microneedling
Heal and Calm Reset
Sensitive skin is not something to avoid treating. It is something to treat with the right care.
The Heal and Calm Reset uses microneedling to rebuild collagen, strengthen the skin’s barrier and calm what sensitivity and reactivity have disrupted. Stronger, calmer, more resilient skin, whatever your skin’s current tolerance.

Is the Heal and Calm Reset Right for me?
If your skin reacts easily, feels persistently uncomfortable, tight or fragile, or if redness, sensitivity and irritation have become your everyday reality, this treatment was designed with you in mind.
The Heal and Calm Reset is suited to all skin tones and works well across a wide range of sensitivity-related concerns, from mild reactivity and dehydration to more persistent conditions such as rosacea and a chronically compromised skin barrier.
Sensitive skin is not skin that should be left alone. It is skin that needs the right treatment, at the right depth, delivered with the right understanding.

How it Works for Sensitive and Reactive Skin
Sensitive and reactive skin isn’t simply born difficult. It’s skin with a weakened barrier, insufficient structural support, and an inflammatory response that has become overactive to everyday triggers.
Redness, rosacea, persistent irritation and that constant sense of fragility are all signs of skin that’s struggling to protect itself.
Microneedling works by stimulating the skin’s own repair process, encouraging new collagen and progressively rebuilding the structural foundation sensitive skin is lacking. As the barrier strengthens, its ability to tolerate everyday triggers, temperature changes, products and environmental stressors improves significantly. The result isn’t just skin that looks calmer, it’s skin that genuinely is calmer, more resilient and better equipped to function as it should.
The Heal and Calm Reset is performed with particular care, depth and intensity adjusted to work with your skin’s current tolerance rather than against it, meeting sensitive skin exactly where it is and building from there.
The Treatment Experience
The Heal and Calm Reset is a considered and carefully personalised treatment. Before we begin, a topical numbing cream is applied and left to take effect, ensuring the treatment is comfortable and well tolerated.
Dermapen Microneedling allows for precise adjustment of both depth and intensity, calibrated to your skin’s current tolerance and what it needs to rebuild its resilience.
Given how reactive or fragile the skin may feel, depth and technique are adjusted with particular care, meeting your skin exactly where it is rather than applying a standard approach.
Face, neck and décolleté are included as standard, ensuring a complete and consistent result.
Preparing your skin
A few simple steps help your skin respond well:
- Pause retinoids and exfoliating acids three nights before treatment
- Avoid sun exposure and skin-sensitising treatments in the days before
- No injectables or cosmetic procedures for two weeks before
- Keep up your daily sun protection right up to appointment day
- Let Natalie know before your session if your skin is currently flaring, reacting to something, or you’ve recently started a new active, this helps tailor the depth and approach to what your skin can comfortably handle that day.
Recovery and Downtime
Recovery is minimal and manageable, one of the reasons this is such a popular treatment. Immediately after, skin appears flushed and warm, similar to mild sunburn, settling within 24 to 48 hours. In the days that follow, skin may feel slightly dry or tight, with some mild flaking as it repairs.
Keep skincare simple, avoiding actives, sun exposure and other cosmetic treatments for five to seven days. Daily sun protection is non negotiable, not just for recovery, but as a lifelong habit. If your skin tends to react more than average, it’s completely normal for redness or sensitivity to settle a little more slowly here than the typical 24 to 48 hours, this doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong. Most clients are back to their normal routine and comfortable in social settings within a day or two.
What to Expect and When
Microneedling is not a single session solution. The skin’s regenerative process takes time, and results build progressively with each treatment.
Think of it the way you would any long term investment in your health. Just as fitness requires consistency to produce and maintain results, so does skin. A single treatment initiates a response, but a structured series is what creates meaningful, lasting change, particularly for skin that’s been reactive or under-resourced for some time.
For this reason, many clients choose to approach their treatments as a series of four, spaced approximately four to six weeks apart. That said, there is no obligation to commit to a series. Single treatments are equally welcome, and many clients choose to continue this way indefinitely.
Following your initial series, many clients continue with periodic maintenance treatments to preserve and build on their results, at a frequency that suits their skin and lifestyle.
Results also depend on what you do between treatments. Simple, supportive home care and daily sun protection are an integral part of achieving and maintaining results.
Skin does not change overnight. But with commitment and the right treatment, it does. That is the promise of the Heal and Calm Reset.
