Specialist Microneedling
Even Skin Tone Reset
Pigmentation runs deeper than it appears. The Even Tone Reset uses microneedling to interrupt the cycle of uneven colour production, progressively restoring a complexion that is clearer, more balanced and genuinely healthier.
Is the Even Skin Reset Right for me?
If you are noticing areas of uneven skin tone, dark spots, post-inflammatory marks left behind by breakouts, or pigmentation that has developed through sun exposure or hormonal changes, this treatment was designed with you in mind. The Even Skin Tone Reset is suited to all skin tones, whether you are managing mild discoloration or more persistent, established unevenness.
Pigmentation is one of the most common and frustrating skin concerns, and also one of the most misunderstood. It rarely responds to surface or topical treatments alone. If you have been managing uneven skin tone for some time without meaningful results, a deeper approach is where the true difference is made.
How It Works
Pigmentation develops when the cells responsible for producing skin color become dysregulated, causing pigment to sit beneath the surface. The Even Skin Tone Reset uses microneedling to create a controlled response within the skin, working directly with your biology to:
Interrupt dysregulated pigment: Halts the cycle of uneven color production so the skin can rebalance and redistribute tone naturally over time.
Encourage cellular turnover and remodeling: Progressively clears surface discoloration while renewing the skin from within.
Refine post-inflammatory marks: Evens out lingering dark spots caused by past acne, skin trauma, or cumulative UV damage.
Restore cellular health and resilience: Rebuilds structural integrity so your complexion becomes clearer, more uniform, and genuinely healthier.
Rather than relying on quick surface fixes, this treatment retrains your skin’s own natural processes to repair, regulate, and renew itself for long-term clarity.

The Treatment Experience
The Uneven Tone Reset is a considered and carefully personalised treatment. Before we begin, a topical numbing cream is applied and left to take effect, ensuring the treatment is comfortable and well tolerated.
Dermapen Microneedling allows for precise adjustment of both depth and intensity, calibrated to your skin, its current pigmentation pattern and what you’re working toward.
Focused attention goes to areas carrying the most visible pigmentation, whether that’s sun-related patches, post-breakout marks, or hormonal pigmentation, while the treatment works across the whole complexion to support even tone throughout.
Face, neck and décolleté are included as standard, ensuring a complete and consistent result.
Changes from the borrowed version: dropped the eye-area/crow’s-feet/forehead detail entirely (that’s aging-specific, not pigmentation-specific), replaced it with language about pigmentation patterns and where marks actually sit, and swapped “we” for “you”/”your” throughout to stay in your sole-practitioner voice.

Preparation and Recovery
Before Your Treatment
To ensure optimal safety and skin response:
Pause Actives: Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids 3 nights prior.
Avoid Sensitivity: Skip sun exposure and skin-sensitizing treatments for a few days before.
Spacing Procedures: No injectables or cosmetic procedures 2 weeks prior.
Daily Sunscreen: Continue daily SPF right up to your appointment.
Downtime & Post-Care
Recovery is predictable, manageable, and fits easily into a normal routine:
First 24 Hours: Skin will look visibly red and feel warm and tight, especially over bone-prominent areas like the cheeks or brow line. Mild, temporary swelling can also occur.
Healing Phase (Days 2–5): Redness softens into a pink flush. You may notice mild dryness, light flaking, or subtle micro-crusting in detailed work areas. This is a completely normal part of the skin’s natural repair process.
Post-Care Rule: Keep skincare strictly simple and gentle with no active ingredients, direct sun, or other treatments for 3 to 5 days.
Daily Sun Protection: Daily SPF is non-negotiable. It is not just for immediate post-treatment care, but a lifelong habit to protect your structural skin investment.
Most clients comfortably return to social settings within 24 to 48 hours without needing planned downtime.
Timeline and Expectations
Cumulative Results
Microneedling works with your body’s natural cellular renewal cycle, meaning results build progressively over time:
Initial Improvements: Most clients notice refined texture, improved tone, and a natural radiance after their second or third session.
Long-Term Remodeling: Deeper structural changes, such as increased collagen density and softened line depth, continue to develop over several months.
Treatment Commitment
Initial Series: For optimal, lasting structural change, a series of 4 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended to build your collagen foundation.
Ongoing Skin Health: Collagen maintenance is an ongoing practice. Once your initial series is complete, regular maintenance treatments every 6 to 8 weeks ensure your skin continues to repair, rebuild, and function at its highest potential.
Home Care Role: Consistent daily SPF and simple, gentle home care are essential to protect your results. For optimal long-term outcomes, the addition of prescription-grade topicals is strongly recommended to support continuous cellular renewal and maintain your best skin.
Skin does not transform overnight, but with consistency and regular biological stimulus, it changes profoundly.
